India Enters Elite Club with Home-Grown Hydrogen-Powered Train | Vantage on Firstpost | 4K
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's first Hydrogen-powered train in the Northern Indian state of Haryana today. Named, the Namo Green Rail, this train will travel from Jind to Sonipat, covering 90 kilometres in a span of 2 hours with at least 12 stops in between. This train runs on Hydrogen cells that generate 3,200 Horsepower, making it the most powerful Hydrogen train in the world. Since the train does not run on diesel it produces only water vapour as residue, making it a greener and cleaner option for travel. With this innovation, India has entered an elite club of nations that operate this train. PM Modi hailed Indian engineers who built this train entirely from scratch in India while also promised more such green initiatives for the country.
