«Quando ero giovane e ribelle, la società francese era fortemente borghese e avrei avuto voglia di prendere molte persone a pedate. Oggi, invece, attorno a noi abbiamo tante disgrazie, cinismo e dolore. E non voglio più dare calci, ma abbracci e amore, perché ce n’è tanto bisogno». Con queste parole il regista francese Luc Besson è intervenuto alla cerimonia inaugurale dell’edizione 2025 di Lucca Comics & Games, in programma da mercoledì 29 ottobre a domenica 2 novembre.
Dopo aver parlato di amore, Besson se ne è andato però senza prender parte al taglio del nastro, non prima di aver risposto piccato ad un giornalista che gli aveva fatto una domanda sul suo ultimo lavoro “Dracula – l’amore perduto”. «Guardati il film», ha tagliato corto il regista, rispondendo in inglese.
Assieme a Besson, sul palco del Teatro del Giglio – Puccini, anche l’artista Rèbecca Dautremer, autrice del poster ufficiale di quest’anno, dedicato al bacio alla francese. Chiaro il messaggio del festival lucchese e della illustratrice d’Oltralpe di lanciare un messaggio di pace e fratellanza, in una fase storica piena di tensioni e conflitti a livello mondiale. Fra i presenti al taglio del nastro anche il ministro della cultura Alessandro Giuli, che ha rimarcato l’importanza internazionale ormai consolidata raggiunta da Lucca Comics & Games.
In giro per la città, primo assalto da parte del pubblico, con tanti cosplayer a passeggio per le strade del centro storico e sulla camminata delle Mura. Qualche coda agli stand, ma tutto sommato sopportabile, in attesa della vera e propria invasione del weekend. Nel clima di festa coinvolti anche tanti bar e locali della città, addobbati a tema fumettistico: all’esterno delle Mura, qualche fisiologico problema al traffico a inizio giornata, poi la situazione – una volta che il pubblico è entrato in città – è tornata più o meno alla normalità, in mezzo a qualche protesta dei lucchesi costretti a recarsi al lavoro per le modifiche alla viabilità e alla sosta.
