«Il Piave non è balneabile. Ci si può andare per una passeggiata, non per tuffarsi». È l’appello della sindaca di San Biagio di Callalta (Treviso) Valentina Pillon dopo la morte di Ben Ameur Abdelhak, 30 anni, residente a Milano, annegato il 27 giuno sotto il ponte ferroviario tra Ponte di Piave e Fagarè della Battaglia. Il giovane, secondo le prime ricostruzioni, si sarebbe tuffato da uno dei piloni, da un’altezza di circa dieci metri, senza più riemergere. Non si esclude un malore, forse una congestione causata dal passaggio dal caldo all’acqua fredda. Il dramma è avvenuto nello stesso punto in cui, un anno fa, era morto un altro giovane. «Le alte temperature invitano a cercare refrigerio — ha ricordato Pillon — ma l’impatto con l’acqua fredda può causare shock termici fatali, a cui si aggiungono mulinelli improvvisi e correnti ingannevoli».
