Schwerer Unfall in Heidelberg: Smart kollidiert mit Straßenbahn am Bahnübergang
Am Donnerstagmittag gegen 13:50 Uhr kam es im Heidelberger Stadtteil Wieblingen zu einem schweren Verkehrsunfall am Bahnübergang Grenzhöfer Weg / Edinger Straße.Eine 63-jährige Fahrerin wollte mit ihrem Smart den Bahnübergang in Richtung Mannheimer Straße überqueren und kollidierte dabei mit einer herannahenden Straßenbahn der Linie 5, die in Richtung Edingen-Neckarhausen unterwegs war.
Die Autofahrerin wurde bei dem Zusammenstoß schwer verletzt und musste nach der notärztlichen Erstversorgung in ein Krankenhaus gebracht werden. Die 13 Fahrgäste der Straßenbahn blieben unverletzt.
Während der Unfallaufnahme war der Bahnübergang sowie der Straßen- und Bahnverkehr im Bereich der Unfallstelle gesperrt. Zur Ursache des Unfalls sowie zur Höhe des entstandenen Sachschadens liegen derzeit noch keine Informationen vor.
