Anuncian resultados de elección del octavo mandato del Consejo Legislativo de la RAE de Hong Kong

Los resultados de la elección del octavo mandato del Consejo Legislativo de la Región Administrativa Especial de Hong Kong fueron anunciados esta madrugada. En total, quedaron definidos los 90 escaños que integrarán el nuevo Consejo Legislativo, 40 elegidos por el Comité Electoral, 30 por distritos funcionales y 20 por distritos geográficos mediante voto directo.
La votación concluyó el 7 de diciembre por la noche. El jefe ejecutivo de la RAE de Hong Kong, John Lee, afirmó que esta elección es crucial para el desarrollo futuro de la ciudad y refleja las expectativas de la sociedad. Algunos electores señalaron que esperan que el nuevo Consejo Legislativo asuma mayores responsabilidades en el impulso económico, social y en el bienestar público.
