Ebola-Überlebender: Misstrauen gegen Behörden ist groß

In der Demokratischen Republik Kongo breitet sich ein Virus aus der Ebola-Familie weiter aus. Eine hochansteckende Infektion, die Erkrankte mit ihren Körperflüssigkeiten übertragen. 2.400 Menschen sind bislang gestorben.

Das ganze ist deshalb so schwer einzudämmen, weil es für diesen speziellen Erregertyp mit dem Namen Bundibugyo bisher weder einen passenden Impfstoff noch eine gezielte Therapie gibt.

Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation versucht es mit einem Serum, das in der Vergangenheit bei Ebola gute Wirkung gezeigt hatte, allerdings nicht zugelassen ist gegen das Bundibugyo-Virus. Sie hat 70.000 Dosen in den Kongo geliefert.
