THIS is Coming to Your Phone NEXT... I Warned You
Your phone already tracks where you go, what you search, and what you buy. The next step could be far more invasive. Systems built directly into your device that scan private photos and messages before encryption can protect them. This video explores the growing push toward client-side scanning, government-accessible backdoors, and laws designed to weaken the privacy protections people rely on every day. From the UK’s Investigatory Powers Act and Online Safety Act to Europe’s proposed “Chat Control” rules and similar efforts in the United States, governments are increasingly demanding greater access to encrypted communications. Supporters argue these systems are necessary to combat child abuse, terrorism, and other serious crimes. But automated moderation has already produced devastating false positives, including innocent parents losing access to entire digital lives after harmless medical photos were mistakenly flagged.
Once scanning happens on your device, end-to-end encryption no longer means what most people think it means. Your phone may still belong to you, but what happens inside it might not stay private for much longer.
