3 WNI Masuk Mekkah Lewat Gurun & 1 Meninggal, Ini Kata Ketua Timwas Haji DPR
ARAB SAUDI, KOMPAS.TV - Ketua Timwas Haji DPR, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, merespons peristiwa sejumlah WNI yang mencoba masuk ke Mekkah melalui gurun pasir tanpa visa haji.Pemerintah Arab Saudi menangkap tiga WNI yang kedapatan masuk secara ilegal, dan satu di antaranya ditemukan meninggal dunia karena dehidrasi. Cucun menyayangkan insiden tersebut dan menegaskan bahwa peristiwa serupa tidak boleh terulang.
Timwas Haji meminta seluruh WNI untuk tidak terlibat dalam kegiatan ilegal, termasuk menggunakan visa nonhaji demi alasan keselamatan.
