Monatelang hatte es kontroverse Diskussionen darum gegeben, ob der Tiergarten Nürnberg einige Guinea-Paviane aus seiner Population entfernen – also töten – muss, um den Rest der Gruppe zu schützen. Am 25. Juli hat der Tiergarten für einen Tag seine Tore geschlossen und Tierschützer ahnten schon, was hinter verschlossenen Türen stattfinden soll.
