The U.S. State Department has ordered evacuations of non-emergency personnel and family from other countries like Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar.President Donald Trump and members of his administration pushed back Monday against criticism of Operation Epic Fury. Critics from both sides of the political spectrum say he hasn’t done enough to explain why it was necessary to start a war with Iran now or articulate his vision for an endgame to the escalating conflict.
Some of the first statewide primary elections of 2026 are happening Tuesday in North Carolina. The outcomes could help determine control of Congress and send a message about the direction voters want to take in the second half of President Trump’s second term.
