(LaPresse) «Noi qui lavoriamo dal lunedì al sabato dalle sette alle sei di sera. Siamo al lavoro forzato». A dirlo è un operaio, di nazionalità keniota, intervistato, durante una manifestazione di Cgil,Cisl e Uil, davanti al cantiere milanese del nuovo consolato americano. Qui l'uomo ha lavorato per la Caddell, agenzia intermediaria turca finita sotto inchiesta per caporalato, a sua volta subappaltatrice di un colosso americano dell’edilizia. L’operaio ha spiegato che sulla busta paga figuravano 1.470 euro, ma che vitto e alloggio, formalmente a carico del datore di lavoro gli venivano trattenuti per circa 850 euro al mese, riducendo la paga reale a meno di 2 euro l’ora. «Quando ti viene dato lo stipendio, loro decurtano la casa, loro decurtano il cibo, poi tu sei rimasto con forse 500 euro – ha aggiunto – Per quanto riguarda il contratto, era triennale, ma mi hanno licenziato mentre ero in vacanza, il 31 gennaio». Alla domanda se avesse subito minacce, l’operaio ha risposto senza esitare: «Mi hanno detto che non dovevo trovarmi qui. Devo tornare nel mio paese di origine».
