BERLIN: Prozess um "From the river to the sea"-Parole – Gericht spricht Palästina-Aktivistin frei

Eine Aktivistin aus der propalästinensischen Szene ist nach Verwendung der umstrittenen Parole «From the river to the sea, palestine will be free» freigesprochen worden. Aus mehreren Gründen liege keine Strafbarkeit vor, befand das Amtsgericht Tiergarten. In weiteren Punkten der Anklage wurde die Frau allerdings des Widerstands sowie des tätlichen Angriffs auf Vollstreckungsbeamte, der Verleumdung und der versuchten Körperverletzung schuldig gesprochen. Eine Geldstrafe von 1.800 Euro erging gegen sie.

Die 38-Jährige hatte zwischen April und Juli 2024 auf ihrem Instagram-Account und bei Demonstrationen in Berlin die Parole veröffentlicht und – auch durch Megafone – skandiert. Fünf Fälle des Verwendens von Kennzeichen terroristischer Organisationen wurden in der Anklage genannt.

Das Bundesinnenministerium hatte die Parole als Kennzeichen der verbotenen islamistischen Palästinenserorganisation Hamas eingeordnet. Mit dem Satz ist gemeint, es solle ein freies Palästina geben auf einem Gebiet vom Fluss Jordan bis zum Mittelmeer – dort, wo sich jetzt Israel befindet.
