BALI, KOMPAS.TV - Dua kapal kandas dihantam gelombang tinggi serta angin kencang. Kapal pengangkut material proyek ini belum bisa dievakuasi dan masih berada di Pantai Tanah Ampo, Karangasem, Bali.Gelombang tinggi menghambat proses evakuasi kapal. Untuk mengantisipasi hal yang tak diinginkan, kepolisian Polairud Polres Karangasem mengamankan lokasi kapal kandas.
Posisi kapal tongkang sudah miring dan sebagian badan kapal sudah tenggelam akibat bocor. Sementara kapal tugboat terhempas di bibir pantai.
Nakhoda dan seluruh ABK selamat dalam peristiwa ini.
