The Ultimate Coffee Grinder Setup for Maximum Flavor Clarity | EK43 vs P80 vs Pietro

Which grinder truly produces the cleanest cup of pour-over coffee? Today we’re putting three distinct setups head-to-head to find the limit of cup clarity: the Mahlkönig EK43 (with SSP burrs and slow feeding), the Option-O Lagom P80, and the Pietro manual grinder with its 58mm vertical flat burrs.

We test each grinder on extremely coarse settings using a delicate Brazilian Geisha to compare particle uniformity, fines production, and in-cup separation. Can a manual grinder really keep up with nearly $4,000 worth of commercial equipment? Let’s taste the results.
