Mannheim/Viernheim/A659 – Zu einem Verkehrsunfall mit einem alleinbeteiligten Lkw kam es am Freitagmorgen kurz nach 7 Uhr auf der B38/A659 in Höhe des Viernheimer Kreuzes.Der Fahrer eines Lastwagens war von Mannheim in Richtung Weinheim unterwegs, als er aus bislang ungeklärter Ursache die Kontrolle über sein Fahrzeug verlor. Der Lkw kam nach rechts von der Fahrbahn ab, fuhr in ein angrenzendes Waldstück und prallte dort gegen mehrere Bäume.
Der Fahrer wurde bei dem Unfall verletzt und nach der Erstversorgung durch den Rettungsdienst in ein Krankenhaus gebracht.
Die Polizei hat die Ermittlungen zur Unfallursache aufgenommen. Die Unfallaufnahme dauert derzeit noch an. Der Verkehr wird an der Unfallstelle vorbeigeleitet. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
