Sebuah pohon aren mati yang tumbang ternyata menyimpan temuan menyeramkan, kerangka manusia di dalam batangnya.
Penemuan ini berawal ketika seorang warga, Rian Barus, melihat retakan pada batang pohon aren dan mendapati adanya tulang mencurigakan.
Rian juga menyebutkan bahwa pohon tersebut sudah mati sekitar empat tahun lalu, namun baru tumbang akibat angin kencang pekan lalu.
Setelah temuan itu, Rian melapor ke kepala dusun setempat sebelum diteruskan ke pihak kepolisian.
Tak berselang lama, Tim Polsek Firdaus bersama Tim Inafis Polres Sergai turun langsung ke tempat kejadian perkara (TKP).
Petugas melakukan identifikasi dengan menyusun bagian kerangka yang ditemukan. Selain itu, polisi juga mengamankan sejumlah barang di sekitar kerangka, di antaranya baju, celana, mancis, gelang, serta sebuah ponsel.
Kapolsek Firdaus AKP Ahmad Albar didampingi Kanit Reskrim Polsek Firdaus Iptu Anggiat Sidabutar saat ditemui dilokasi, membenarkan adanya penemuan kerangka manusia tersebut.
Pihak kepolisian kini tengah melakukan serangkaian penyelidikan untuk mengungkap identitas korban serta kemungkinan adanya unsur tindak pidana dalam kasus ini.
Sementara itu, kerangka manusia tersebut telah dibawa ke rumah sakit terdekat untuk proses forensik lebih lanjut.
Penemuan ini sontak membuat warga sekitar resah sekaligus penasaran, mengingat keberadaan kerangka tersebut tidak pernah terendus selama pohon masih berdiri selama bertahun-tahun.
