KOMPAS.TV - Presiden Prabowo Subianto menjadi salah satu pemimpin negara yang berpidato dalam Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi PBB untuk penyelesaian damai masalah Palestina. Dalam kesempatan itu, Prabowo kembali menegaskan dukungan Indonesia terhadap Palestina.Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi PBB untuk penyelesaian damai masalah Palestina digelar di Gedung Majelis Umum PBB, New York, Amerika Serikat, Senin waktu setempat. Presiden Prabowo mendapat kesempatan berbicara pada urutan ke-5 dari total 33 negara dan organisasi internasional yang diundang untuk memberikan pandangan.
Dalam pidatonya, Presiden Prabowo kembali menekankan bahwa Indonesia mendukung Palestina dan mendorong penerapan "solusi dua negara" sebagai jalan perdamaian di wilayah Palestina dan Israel.
Peran Indonesia di PBB dalam komitmen mendorong perdamaian di Palestina akan dibahas lebih lanjut bersama Marty Natalegawa, Menteri Luar Negeri RI periode 2009–2014.
