Changing the System: Asking Better Questions for Real Climate Action - Poonperm explains why today’s climate tools — carbon taxes, sustainability-linked bonds, energy-efficiency incentives — often fail to transform systems. He led the verification of the first International Transfer Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs) under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and contributed to designing Thailand’s carbon pricing for its carbon tax. His work also covers carbon storage accounting, Thailand’s first national guideline for Organizational Carbon Footprint, GHG management frameworks, and NDC analysis for UNESCAP member states.
