Schriesheim: Am Donnerstag fuhr eine 47-Jährige mit ihrem Skoda auf der Talstraße von Schriesheim in Richtung Altenbach. Mit im Fahrzeug befanden sich zwei Kinder im Alter von drei und sechs Jahren. Aus bislang unbekanntem Grund geriet die Fahrerin gegen 11:45 Uhr auf Höhe des Waldschwimmbads mit ihrem Auto in den Gegenverkehr. Dadurch kam es zum Frontalzusammenstoß mit einem entgegenkommenden Nissan. Dessen 54-jährige Fahrerin sowie die Unfallverursacherin verletzten sich bei der Kollision leicht. Beide kamen zur weiteren Behandlung in ein Krankenhaus. Die Kinder blieben glücklicherweise unverletzt. Der entstandene Schaden wird auf 24.000 Euro geschätzt. Im Rahmen der Unfallaufnahme kam es in dem Bereich zu einer Beeinträchtigung des Verkehrs und einer Teilsperrung des Branichtunnels. Gegen 13:30 Uhr konnte die Strecke wieder freigegeben werden.
