Found in Attic after 85 years - 1940's Calrus Fan Restoration

In this video, I meticulously restore a 1940s Calrus electric Fan, a beautifully designed piece of history that may have once graced the backstage of legendary French singer Edith Piaf .
The fan was found by Tysytube in the south of France in an old house while looking for antiques . Since he has already restored 3 fans on his channel , he decided to send it to me for restoration . After this fan arrived to me, I started looking for information about it , because it was missing certain parts, parts that I had to remake in the restoration process , so I had to know more about this fan, even information about what the original looks like .
Made in the 1940s, this model features elegant craftsmanship and durable components . Historical hints suggest that artists like Edith Piaf used a Calrus fan backstage to stay cool under the spotlight – a testament to its timeless design and reliability . Unfortunately , the Calrus company no longer produces fans like this , so restoring this antique will keep the memory and nostalgia of these objects alive .
Watch me as I restore this forgotten antique fan – from its rusted blades to its iconic metal body – using delicate tools , precise work , and quiet & captivating sounds .
