Por que os automóveis Mercedes-Benz estão na lanterninha, nas piores posições, da classificação de vendas dos carros premium no Brasil? Caiu sua qualidade?
Negativo, os veículos continuam mantendo uma qualidade excepcional. O grande problema é que a Mercedes resolveu colocar os seus preços lá nas alturas.
Um bom exemplo disso é a recém-lançada classe E com mecânica do tipo híbrido leve, micro hybrid, com um motor a combustão e um pequeno elétrico para ajudar. Quanto custa? Uma bagatela de R$ 640 mil.
A BMW que concorre diretamente com ela é a série 5, que possui o sistema híbrido plug-in, o mais sofisticado entre os modelos. A série 5, que poderia custar até mais, graças ao sistema avançado, está à venda por R$ 65 mil a menos do que a Mercedes. Quanto? Cerca de R$ 575 mil.
