"Kita melihat bahwa tahun 1998 itu adalah akumulasi kekecewaan terhadap penguasa yang mengakibatkan kekuatan rakyat yang turun ke jalan dan berhasil menumbangkan pemerintahan pada saat itu, Suharto," kata Andi.
Meski demikian, seorang mahasiswa peserta unjuk rasa di depan Gedung DPR menyebut bahwa ada perbedaan antara saat ini dan 1998.
"Perbedaan adalah, hari ini kawan-kawan itu sudah punya media sosial yang bisa menyaring mana ajakan yang betul-betul gerakan masyarakat atau mana gerakan provokator," kata Vatov.
