Geleceğin şehri olacaktı: Neom projesi neden çöküyor?

Suudi Arabistan Veliaht Prensi Muhammed bin Selman, elindeki haritaya baktığında sadece sarı ve sıcak bir hiçlik değil, fizik yasalarına meydan okuyan, insanlık tarihinin gördüğü en iddialı yapıyı, yani "The Line"ı görüyordu. Son aylarda NEOM sahasından gelen haberler, o görkemli lansmanların ışıltısını tamamen söndürmüş durumda. Başlangıçta 1.5 milyon insanın yaşayacağı söylenen devasa metropol hedefi, sessiz sedasız revize edilerek 170 kilometreden sadece 2.4 kilometrelik bir "pilot bölgeye" düşürüldü. Bu, projenin yüzde 98 oranında küçülmesi ve trilyonluk hayallerin iflas bayrağını çekmesi anlamına geliyor.
