"Dopo troppe false partenze, è stato impresso un cambio di passo. Nei primi mesi del 2025 sono state bandite circa 435 gare di opere pubbliche e ci saranno altre 1200 gare che significano 1200 opere pubbliche che, tra qualche anno, renderanno il nostro cratere un vero e proprio patrimonio riqualificato", così il Commissario. In occasione dell'anniversario del sisma di Amatrice del 2026 è stata deposta una corona di fiori al monumento eretto in onore delle vittime del terribile terremoto. Nella notte, alle 3:36, erano state commemorate con la lettura dei 299 nomi accompagnata dai rintocchi solenni del campanone. 2016 Guido Castelli fa il punto sulla ricostruzione nel giorno della commemorazione del sisma che la notte del 24 agosto 2016 colpì i comuni di Amatrice, Accumoli e Arquata del Tronto, provocando 299 vittime.
