Trump mengumumkannya secara langsung, mendukung upaya Israel untuk menghancurkan program nuklir Iran.Trump mengatakan serangan yang sangat berhasil terhadap tiga situs nuklir di Iran telah dilakukan.
Sebelum mengumumkan langsung, Trump menyatakan serangan Amerika ke Iran dalam postingan di akun media sosial X.
Selain menyatakan serangannya terhadap Iran, Trump juga menambahkan, pesawat militer yang telah menyerang Iran dalam perjalanan pulang dengan selamat. Trump juga mengucapkan selamat kepada prajurit Amerika yang hebat.
Tindakan itu dilakukan setelah Israel dan Iran terlibat pertempuran udara selama lebih dari seminggu yang mengakibatkan kematian dan cedera di kedua negara.
Israel melancarkan serangan terhadap Iran dengan mengatakan bahwa mereka ingin menghilangkan kemungkinan Teheran mengembangkan senjata nuklir.
Iran berpendapat bahwa program nuklirnya untuk tujuan damai.
