Pistorius stellt Pläne zum neuen Wehrdienst vor – Pressekonferenz
Verteidigungsminister Boris Pistorius will für ein neues Wehrpflichtmodell die vor 13 Jahren ausgesetzte Erfassung von Wehrfähigen wieder aufbauen. Der SPD-Politiker hat den Verteidigungsausschuss des Bundestags über seine Pläne informiert. Am Nachmittag will er sie der Öffentlichkeit bei einer Pressekonferenz vorstellen. Die Pläne sehen einen sechsmonatigen Grundwehrdienst mit der Option einer freiwilligen Verlängerung vor. Dem Plan des Verteidigungsministers zufolge sollen junge Männer verpflichtet werden, in einem Fragebogen Auskunft über ihre Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zum Dienst zu geben. Bei Auswahl sollen sie sich einer Musterung stellen.
