Senjata bernama Toophan Al-Mudammer itu berhasil meledakkan kapal di Laut Merah hingga terbakar.
Dikutip dari Al Mayadeen, Toophan Al-Mudammer dalam bahasa Arab artinya Banjir yang Merusak.
Senjata ini tergolong drone permukaan tak berawak (USV) yang tampilan fisiknya mirip kapal.
Meski berukuran kecil, Toophan Al-Mudammer punya kemampuan destruktif tinggi dan membawa hulu ledak hingga 1.500 kilogram.
Senjata ini juga dilengkapi dengan teknologi canggih, serta kemampuan kendali manual dan jarak jauh.
Menurut Media Militer Yaman, Toophan Al-Mudammer punya kecepatan 45 mil laut per jam dan beroperasi di segala kondisi laut.
Akhir Juni lalu, Houthi menggunakan senjata ini untuk menyerang kapal Transworld Navigator di Laut Merah.
Menurut Houthi, kapal tersebut melanggar larangan untuk memasuki pelabuhan Palestina yang diduduki. (Tribun-Video.com)
