Diketahui, gerakan Hizbullah Lebanon membalas Israel dengan menghujani bom Kiryat Shmona (desa Al-Khalisa) , wilayah pendudukan Israel di bagian utara pada Senin (15/7/2024).
Serangan itu diluncurkan pada malam hari waktu setempat.
Adapun puluhan roket Falaq dan Katyusha menyerang Israel.
Dalam pernyataannya, Hizbullah menyatakan bahwa serangan roket bergelombang sebagai balasan atas bombardemen Israel sebelumnya di kota Bint Jbeil, Lebanon Selatan.
Adapun Tentara pendudukan Israel (IDF) mengatakan, sebagian besar roket serangan Hizbullah itu berhasil dijatuhkan.
Sementara itu, kelompok yang berafiliasi dengan Hizbullah melancarkan operasi pertama melawan Israel sejak Banjir Al-Aqsa.
Brigade Perlawanan Lebanon, sebuah kelompok paramiliter yang terkait dengan Hizbullah juga mengaku bertanggung jawab atas operasi militer melawan Israel di Lebanon selatan.
Pengumuman ini menandai yang pertama bagi kelompok tersebut sejak peluncuran Banjir Al-Aqsa tahun lalu.
Didirikan oleh Hizbullah pada tahun 1997, Brigade tersebut beranggotakan pejuang sukarelawan dari berbagai sekte Lebanon.
Pada hari Jumat lalu, mereka melaporkan peluncuran roket ke lokasi ‘Rweisat al-Qarn’ Israel di Peternakan Shebaa Lebanon yang diduduki, sehingga menghasilkan “serangan langsung.”
Hizbullah dan Israel hampir setiap hari terlibat baku tembak sejak perang di Gaza dimulai.
Hizbullah yang mendukung Hamas telah berjanji untuk menghentikan serangan hanya jika gencatan senjata di Gaza.
Pemerintah Lebanon dan Hizbullah menolak permintaan negara pendudukan untuk mengevakuasi pejuang Hizbullah dari wilayah perbatasan.
