Die ersten deutschen Soldaten sind in Grönlands Hauptstadt Nuuk angekommen. Um 14.50 Uhr Ortszeit (17.50 Uhr deutscher Zeit) landete die in Polen gecharterte Zivilmaschine auf dem Verkehrsflughafen von Nuuk. An Bord waren neben den 15 Soldaten der Bundeswehr auch dänische Soldaten. Gestartet war das Flugzeug vom dänischen Militärflugplatz Karup. Die Soldaten erreichen Nuuk mit einem Tag Verspätung: Ursprünglich war geplant, dass die Bundeswehr ihre Soldaten selbst nach Grönland bringt. Sie sollten gestern mit einem A400M der Luftwaffe fliegen. Nun sitzen sie in einer von Dänemark in Polen gecharterten Boeing 737. An Bord: 15 Angehörige aller Streitkräfte – also von Luftwaffe, Marine und Heer. „Es sind erfahrene Soldaten, darunter Logistiker, Experten für Lufttransport“, so ein Sprecher des Bundesverteidigungsministeriums zu BILD. Ihr Auftrag: Unter dänischer Führung erkunden, wie man eine gemeinsame Großübung auf Grönland durchführen kann – auf Einladung Dänemarks und ausdrücklich noch nicht als Nato-Übung. Wie lange die Bundeswehr-Soldaten auf Grönland bleiben sollen, ist noch unklar.
