Fiji's Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, currently on a three-day visit to India, discussed the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on Fijian goods, as well as his relationship with the United States and President Donald Trump. He was speaking in an interview with Firstpost Managing Editor Palki Sharma. "For the moment, it is not all working in his favour. And I am sure the world and world leaders can weather it. Only if we use immediate effect, and try and counter that we could make the situation worse," Rabuka said. During the interview, he also spoke about the long-standing ties between India and Fiji. Earlier, the Fiji PM met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the two leaders agreed to deepen defence cooperation through joint efforts in peacekeeping, cyber security and maritime surveillance.---
