1964 US Food Packet Long Range Patrol Ration Review Chicken Stew MRE Testing

Check out this rare ration that was very advanced for the 1960s. The earliest generation of the LRP was totally different. It contained only 1,000-1,100 calories and the main course recipes were not even close to what they're like these days.

An absolutely amazing look at a ration that was very much ahead of it's time and pioneering for the era. The LRP was used in Vietnam and was much preferred over the C Ration by many as the main course was a large portion of food and it didn't make a bunch of noise with metal cans bumping around in a pack.
