Подходит к концу четвертый год полномасштабной российско-украинской войны. Украина вступала в него в тяжелой ситуации — российские войска стояли под Покровском, штурмовали Часов Яр, поддержка США и вообще американский курс в конфликте находились под вопросом, и всерьез звучали опасения, что в этом году Россия может как минимум повторить украинский успех под Харьковом 2022 года — прорыв на оперативную глубину, который поставит Силы обороны на грань катастрофы.Прошел год, и российским войскам не удалось установить полного контроля ни над Покровском, ни над Часовым Яром — и, шире, не удалось создать серьезный оперативный прорыв. При пересчёте на километры россиянам удалось захватить в полтора раза больше территории, чем за год до этого, но за каждый квадратный километр пришлось платить не в пример больше.
