Un dia como hoy hace 31 años, Canal 12 y Javier Alvarez Guajardo (Entonces Gerente de produccion y programacion de la televisora) hicieron que el canal a partir del 1 de Mayo de 1995 abrieran su programación a partir de las 6:30 de la mañana con videos musicales en Ingles y Español, así como el Himno Nacional Mexicano… Y a partir de las 7 de la mañana Belinda Treviño “Bely” levantaba a los niños por la mañana con el programa llamado “Abre los ojos con Bely”. En su primera semana tenía duración de 7 a 8 de la mañana, y a la semana siguiente fue dando de 7 a 8:30. Nació Beto en este programa, primero como un títere, y después de algunas semanas lo transformaron en personaje de botarga como lo conocemos hoy en día.
Los años pasan, pero el 24 de Febrero de 1998 (Con motivo del 30 aniversario de Canal 12), Bely se mudo por las tardes llamándose “Buenas tardes con Bely” transmitiendo los Martes y Jueves a las 16:00 hrs, y luego tambien los Sabados de Julio de 1998 al 2013 a las 15:00 hrs. También siendo como “El show de Bely y Beto” desde el 2001.
Este fragmento de inicio fue transmitido el Viernes 3 de Mayo de 1996, dos días después de haber cumplido el primer aniversario del programa.
