Pertemuan kali ini dihadiri oleh sejumlah Kepala Negara dan perwakilan tingkat tinggi, antara lain Presiden Brasil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Lalu ada Presiden Republik Rakyat Tiongkok (RRT) Xi Jinping, Presiden Mesir Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Presiden Iran Masoud Pezeshkian hingga Presiden Rusia Vladimir Putin.
Dalam kesempatan itu, presiden menyampaikan pandangan dan posisi Indonesia terkait sejumlah isu global pada urutan keempat.
Dirinya juga menegaskan dukungan penuh Indonesia terhadap berbagai inisiatif yang dihasilkan dalam forum BRICS.
“Kami sepenuhnya mendukung inisiatif-inisiatif yang telah diambil. Kami mengapresiasi kepemimpinan Presiden Lula dan Indonesia berkomitmen untuk bekerja lebih erat dengan seluruh negara BRICS,” ucap Presiden Prabowo.
Prabowo juga menilai juga perdagangan dan keuangan global sering dimainkan sebagai senjata politik di dunia.
"Dalam dunia dengan ketidakpastian ini, ada juga double bahkan triple standard, dimana hukum internasional di setiap hari diabaikan, di mana yang berkuasa yang benar, di mana negara kecil yang kurang berkuasa terintimidasi, di mana perdagangan dan keuangan menjadi senjata, kami menganggap saat ini, saatnya BRICS terus berkembang," kata Prabowo, mengutip keterangan.
