Permintaan maaf itu disampaikan oleh Raja Juli di Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta Pusat pada Selasa (9/9/2025).
"Dari hati yang terdalam, saya mohon maaf sebesar-besarnya kepada Pak Presiden Prabowo, kepada Komisi IV mitra saya, dan terutama maaf saya tentu kepada masyarakat Indonesia atas kericuhan yang terjadi karena foto yang beredar tersebut," kata Raja Juli.
Raja Juli mengatkan peristiwa itu akan menjadi pembelajaran bagi dirinya.
Raja Juli memahami bahwa sebagai pejabat publik, dirinya harus berhati-hati dalam bertindak.
Sementara itu terkait momen bermain domino, sejatinya itu dilakukan saat Raja Juli bertemu dengan eks menteri Perlindungan Pekerja Mingran Indonesia Abdul Kadir Karding.
Raja Juli mengaku tidak mengenal Aziz Wellang dan tidak mengetahui adanya status tersangka.
Ia mengatakan hanya diajak bermain domino di Posko KKSS.
Sementara itu sebelumnya Mantan Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra Arief Puryono mendesak Presiden Prabowo Subianto untuk mencopot Raja Juli.
Arief menilai bermain domino tidak pantas dilakukan pejabat negara di tengah sorotan isu lingkungan dan etika pemerintah. (Tribun-Video.com/Kompas.com)
