Die Zahl der in London registrierten Autos ist gegenüber 2016 leicht gesunken. Aber noch immer sind über 2 Millionen Autos registriert, zusätzlich zu Bussen, LKWs und Motorrädern. Die Luftverschmutzung, vor allem in den innerern Bezirken, ist immer noch ein großes Problem, eine halbe Million Londoner leiden unter Asthma, und jedes Jahr trägt die verschmutzte Luft zum Tod tausender Londoner bei. Die Stadtverwaltung belegt daher alte, besonders verschmutzende Autos mit Strafen, und baut die Radwege aus. Und zusätzlich nehme einige Londoner die Dinge selbst in die Hand.
