GitHub Copilot App Is Actually Good… Just Not with Copilot

GitHub Copilot is actually a surprisingly good GitHub app… once you stop thinking of it as Copilot.

In this video, I show how I’m using the GitHub Copilot desktop app on Linux as a dashboard for managing repositories, issues, pull requests, notifications, and daily triage across a massive number of projects.

I’ll also show how I bypass the built-in Copilot subscription and connect my existing OpenAI Codex subscription through CLIProxyAPI, giving me one AI subscription that I can use across multiple applications.

For developers managing dozens or even hundreds of repositories, this has become a surprisingly useful way to prioritize issues, organize PRs, keep local repositories synchronized, and figure out what actually needs attention.
