Die sächsische Kleinstadt Mittweida kämpft mit Abwanderung, überall fehlen Fachkräfte. Ralf Schreiber will seine Stadt wieder attraktiv machen.Rund 5.000 Menschen hat Mittweida seit 1990 verloren. Viele Geschäfte stehen leer, es fehlt überall an qualifizierten Arbeitskräften. Oberbürgermeister Ralf Schreiber möchte seine Stadt sanieren und damit Touristen und neue Anwohner anlocken. Doch viele Projekte scheitern am Fachkräftemangel. Eine Entwicklung, wie sie in vielen, vor allem kleineren, Städten Deutschlands zu beobachten ist. Eine Reportage von Bettina Stehkämper.
