Di saat bersamaan, Brigade Al-Quds, gerakan Jihad Islam Palestina, menyatakan telah menyerang unit infanteri Israel dengan alat peledak dan mortir.
Serangan itu disebut menghantam langsung target militer Israel hingga menyebabkan kerugian.
Bahkan konfrontasi sengit antara pejuang Palestina dan pasukan darat serta lapis baja Israel masih berlangsung di wilayah tersebut.
Media Israel melaporkan empat tentaranya terluka dalam dua insiden terpisah di Khan Younis.
Sebuah rudal anti tank dilaporkan menghantam tank Batalion Lapis Baja hingga menyebabkan dua tentara Zionis cedera.
