Kegiatan ziarah ini dilakukan sebagai rangkaian dari PSI memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan ke-80 Republik Indonesia.
Adapun makam yang diziarahi oleh Kaesang dalam kesempatan ini yakni, makam Presiden ke-3 RI B.J Habibie dan istrinya, Ainun Habibie, serta makam istri Presiden ke-6 RI Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono yakni almarhumah Ani Yudhoyono.
Dalam kesempatan ini, Kaesang Pangarep turut mengutip salah satu pernyataan dari almarhum B.J Habibie yang dikenangnya sampai saat ini, yaitu sebagai rakyat Indonesia dan generasi penerus, seharusnya siapapun bisa memberikan sebanyak-banyaknya untuk bangsa ini, bukan malah meminta.
Menurut Kaesang, pernyataan dari almarhum B.J Habibie itu memberikan pesan kepada pihaknya sebagai partai politik harus bisa berpengaruh baik kepada masyarakat bukan sebaliknya. Kaesang juga menyinggung soal sikap dari segelintir pihak yang justru menjarah apa yang menjadi milik rakyat.
