He uses 18 grams of a Bali Natural Kintamani coffee (a medium-light roast) from a Jakarta roastery, Paddle Brew Coffee Lab, which he grinds with a manual hand grinder (the Kin Grinder K6) and measures with a scale.

The review covers the entire process:

Setup: He demonstrates using the included accessories like the distributor, tamper, and puck screen.

Operation: He shows how to add water, heat it using the device (which has a visual temperature indicator), and start the pump.

Result: The machine successfully produces a shot of espresso. CY tastes it and finds it sweet with no bitterness, noting it works well even with light roast coffee despite producing less crema. He then makes an Americano by adding water.
