ROMA (ITALPRESS) - "Italia e Austria sono due nazioni legate da un legame antico, che oggi però è più solido che mai. L'Italia è un ponte naturale tra l'Europa continentale e quella mediterranea così come l'Austria è l'anello di congiunzione tra i cosiddetti due polmoni d'Europa, quello orientale e quello occidentale e per questo la comune vocazione che abbiamo è quella di fare rete, di fare sistema con le diverse nazioni europee". Lo ha detto il presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, nelle dichiarazioni alla stampa al termine dell'incontro con il cancelliere austriaco Christian Stocker."Il nostro rapporto si fonda su un'intensa collaborazione - ha aggiunto - che abbiamo avviato su molti fronti, e una collaborazione che trova riscontro anche nella solidità dei nostri rapporti economici: il nostro interscambio ha superato, nel 2024, i 25 miliardi di euro. Vogliamo però lavorare per rendere ancora più forte questa collaborazione, concentrandoci in particolare sulle sfide più attuali del nostro tempo".
