The first claim regarding a potential split in Akhilesh's party came from OP Rajbhar, a minister in the UP government and the chief of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP); his assertions were corroborated by UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. Rajbhar claims that Ramgopal Yadav has already handed over a list of MPs poised to rebel to Amit Shah. Reiterating this today, Rajbhar questioned what else it could be called if MPs failed to attend the SP meeting. Meanwhile, Keshav Maurya stated that 25 MPs have long been ready to break away, though the BJP is not actively engineering the split. Amidst this, internal infighting within the Samajwadi Party surfaced in Moradabad; SP MP Ruchi Veera accused leaders within her own party of factionalism and tarnishing the party's image. Although she did not name anyone specifically, she openly expressed her displeasure and skipped the meeting of SP MPs. All this is happening at a time when claims of a rift in the Samajwadi Party are circulating, yet Akhilesh Yadav maintains he is prepared to handle the crisis.
