Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate - Solo GM The Whisper w/ -60 Power All Negative Modifiers / All Handicaps Grandmaster The Whisper Solo / 510 Power Grandmaster The Whisper. Just a long and drawn out video doing the pinnacle ops mission "The Whisper" with all of the maximum power handicap modifiers available. Details below.This was something I mentioned doing a few weeks ago that I was going to do once I hit 450 power, so here it is. This was also the build I wanted to use for the GM Conquest version, but sadly Avant Garde exists there and I couldn't use Dragon's Breath. There's obvious alternatives (like Augur's Finality), but at the time I just decided to stick with the Rimecoat as I was annoyed I couldn't use what I wanted.
As for the run itself, I made the decision to use all of the highest power handicap modifiers, but I decided not to use the other "negative" modifiers like no HUD or no starting ammo, mostly because no HUD is very jarring watch. If you like it, it's fine, and it doesn't really change much of the difficulty other than a little bit of extra guesswork. But if you're someone who doesn't like no hud, it makes the gameplay basically unwatchable. And because I decided to not use that, it didn't make sense to use no starting ammo or brawn either. I also avoided using things like solar hunger as they're technically a buff.
Either way, with that you just get a very long and drawn out version of The Whisper. Not particularly challenging, just long. The most annoying part was dealing with the Wizard shields during the final boss, match game makes them a nightmare. Realistically I could've just turned off locked loadouts and swapped for a void weapon there, which would've made it significantly quicker. I also had a few minutes of misadventure off the map, but it was salvageable and I'm not doing it again lol.
I don't know if there's any desire for more max handicap runs, particularly when they're this slow to play. If there is, I'll probably do some more. If not, I'll find something else. I also want to play Witchfire this week, so I'll probably have a few videos of the new maps there.
