Hal ini mengemuka dalam seminar "Ngobrol Pintar: AI dan Pendidikan" yang digelar Telkom Indonesia bekerjasama dengan Tribun Network dan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau, di Furaya Hotel Pekanbaru, Jumat (25/7/2025).

Seminar ini diikuti lebih dari 500 lebih guru jenjang SD, SMP, dan SMA dari berbagai kabupaten/kota di Riau.
Antusias tinggi terlihat dari semangat para peserta menggali pemanfaatan AI untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah.
Dihadiri Keynote speaker, Prof Afrianto Daud, guru besar Universitas Riau.
Ia menegaskan pentingnya literasi digital bagi pendidik agar tidak hanya menjadi pengguna pasif teknologi, tetapi mampu mengelola dan mengkritisinya secara bijak.
Plt Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau, Erisman Yahya, MH dalam sambutannya menekankan bahwa seminar ini adalah bentuk komitmen pemerintah dalam membekali guru menghadapi perubahan zaman.
Ia berharap kegiatan serupa bisa menjangkau lebih banyak guru di daerah.
Sementara itu, Sekretaris Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau, Arden Simeru, menyatakan bahwa pihaknya sedang merancang program lanjutan untuk peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam bidang digital dan AI.
Dalam diskusi panel ini, pihak Telkom juga turut memaparkan inisiatif penyediaan akses internet hingga ke pelosok desa.
General Manager Telkom Witel Riau, Susila Shane Sihombing menjelaskan, bahwa pihaknya sedang menjajaki kolaborasi dengan koperasi desa untuk memperluas jangkauan internet.
Seminar ini menjadi langkah awal bagi ekosistem pendidikan di Riau untuk bergerak ke arah pembelajaran abad 21 yang berbasis teknologi dan literasi AI.
Tantangan masih besar, namun komitmen lintas sektor menjadi modal utama menuju pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan digital. (Tribun-Video.com)
