TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Pasukan Israel membakar dan menghancurkan fasilitas di Penyeberangan Rafah antara Jalur Gaza dan Mesir, Senin (17/6/2024).

IDF turut merusak ruang yang digunakan untuk kedatangan dan keberangkatan warga.

Pejabat setempat mengatakan pasukan pendudukan Israel merusak lorong penyeberangan Rafah.

Padahal Penyeberangan Rafah merupakan satu-satunya pintu keluar bagi warga Palestina dan non-Israel untuk mengakses dunia luar.

Melansir Middle East Eye, gambar-gambar kerusakan tersebut beredar secara luar di media sosial.

Terlihat foto itu menunjukkan seperti bagian luar aula keberangkatan penyeberangan itu dibakar.

Kerusakan pada penyeberangan tersebut mungkin akan membuatnya tidak dapat beroperasi dalam waktu dekat, sehingga menyebabkan 2,2 juta penduduk Palestina di Gaza terjebak di dalamnya.

Penghancuran perlintasan tersebut terjadi ketika pasukan Israel melanjutkan serangan mereka terhadap Rafah.

Termasuk kawasan Koridor Philadelphi, yang merupakan zona penyangga demiliterisasi yang membentang di sepanjang perbatasan Jalur Gaza dengan Mesir.

Invasi darat Israel ke Rafah, yang dimulai pada tanggal 6 Mei, telah menyebabkan seluruh lingkungan rata dengan tanah di tengah serangan udara yang sedang berlangsung dan penghancuran properti dan rumah.

Operasi tersebut memaksa satu juta pengungsi internal meninggalkan kota tersebut ke daerah lain di Jalur Gaza tengah.

Serangan terhadap Rafah dan perebutan perbatasan dengan Mesir memperdalam krisis kemanusiaan yang sudah berbahaya, dengan rute bantuan penting, melalui penyeberangan Rafah dan Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom), diblokir.(*)
