TEXAS: Sturmgewehr-Attacke erschüttert Austin! FBI ermittelt wegen Terrorverdacht!

Wir schauen in den US-Bundesstaat Texas: In der Stadt Austin feuerte ein 53-Jähriger in einem Ausgehviertel wahllos auf Gäste eines Biergartens. Zwei Menschen wurden dabei getötet, 14 weitere verletzt. Drei von ihnen schweben weiterhin in Lebensgefahr. Der Täter wurde wenig später von der Polizei erschossen. Nach ersten Angaben fuhr er mehrfach mit einem SUV um den Block, bevor er aus dem Fenster des Fahrzeugs das Feuer eröffnete. Später stieg der Angreifer aus und schoss mit einem Sturmgewehr weiter auf Passanten. Er trug einen Kapuzenpullover mit der iranischen Flagge und der Aufschrift „Property of Allah“ – zu Deutsch „Eigentum Allahs“. In seiner Wohnung sollen sich Bilder der iranischen Führung befunden haben. Das Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) prüft daher ein mögliches terroristisches Motiv sowie einen Zusammenhang mit dem Krieg im Nahen Osten.
