Jay-Z to headline Super Bowl halftime show in Los Angeles
Allow me to reintroduce the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show headliner: Jay-Z.On Monday night, Apple Music, which is sponsoring the halftime show, confirmed the speculation that the superstar performer would be performing on one of the world’s biggest stages.
The announcement came in a black-and-white video that showed Jay-Z sitting in the stands as the camera slowly zoomed out to reveal, appropriately enough, a goat in his lap and more on either side of him.
With "Public Service Announcement" playing underneath the video, the captions simply read, "GOAT’s out of the bag. JAŸ-Z #AppleMusicHalftime #SBLXI."
With an audience that is measured in the tens of millions, the Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most watched events every year. Interest in the halftime show can extend beyond the game itself and work its way into the national conversation on its own.
Super Bowl LXI will be played on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
