Galassi sostiene che la nuova indagine abbia permesso di individuare una reazione sul corpo della vittima, un elemento che, a suo giudizio, sarebbe in contrasto con quanto riportato nelle sentenze: «Con la nuova indagine della dottoressa Cattaneo è stato possibile dimostrare come sul corpo della vittima ci sia una reazione e questo va in contrasto con quanto scritto nelle sentenze». Taormina replica distinguendo tra un elemento investigativo e una prova processuale: «Ma questa non è una prova, va sottoposto a un giudice, è un elemento che può diventare di prova ma non lo è al momento».
