New York: Bus Carrying Tourists From India, China & The Philippines Crashes, Killing Five | N18G
A bus carrying foreign tourists from Niagara Falls to New York City crashed on a state highway. The bus veered out of control and rolled over, killing five people. The crash occurred in Pembroke, 48 kilometres east of Buffalo. The bus was carrying 52 tourists from India, China, and the Philippines, along with two operators. Translators were called on the scene to assist the foreign tourists. Several ambulances and medical helicopters were also rushed to the spot. Police have ruled out mechanical error as a cause of the accident. Police said that the driver got distracted and crashed the bus. State Governor Kathy Hochul said she is coordinating with officials providing assistance.---
